Features:

Stainless Steel 317L Stud Bolts have excellent mechanical properties, high strength and good impact resistance. It also has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, making it suitable for use in extreme temperature environments. Corrosion resistance:

One of the key properties of Stainless Steel 317L is its exceptional resistance to corrosion. It can also withstand harsh chemicals such as sulfuric acid, acetic acid, and phosphoric acid.


Machining:

Stainless Steel 317L is not considered to be a difficult material to machine, but it does require sharp tools and plenty of coolant to avoid work hardening. It can be machined using conventional methods such as drilling, milling, turning, and grinding. However, due to its high strength and toughness, special care must be taken when machining this material.


Heat Treatment:

Stainless Steel 317L is typically solution annealed at a temperature range of 1850-2050°F (1010-1121°C) followed by rapid cooling to restore its corrosion resistance. It can also be heat treated for improved strength and hardness, but this may reduce its corrosion resistance.
